The problem
Jazzkeller, a jazz club in Frankfurt, wanted guests to order from their table without waiting for staff to take it. The team needed to manage tables, menus and orders, and see what was selling.
What we built
We built a set of web apps around a QR code on each table. Guests scan it, enter only their name, browse the menu and send their order with notes. Bar staff work from an order queue, and the admin app manages tables, QR codes, menus and settings and shows revenue and trending items.
Key features
- QR code per table that opens the menu for that table, with no account needed
- Menu browsing by section and sub-section, with search
- Cart with item notes, an order note and order history
- Printable receipt preview in German; payment is taken on site
- Bar attendant app for incoming orders
- Admin dashboard with orders, revenue, customers, monthly revenue charts and daily trending items
- Table management with occupied and completed status, and QR code generation
- Menu management with images and an availability switch
- Order lists by day and by table, VAT settings and admin profiles

Our role
NinjaNext designed and built the guest, bar attendant and admin web apps and set up deployment to Azure Static Web Apps.
Challenges and how we handled them
Ordering in seconds, not sign-up forms
Guests are there for the music. The QR code already identifies the table, so the only thing a guest types is a name, and the session is tied to their device.
Useful numbers for the team
The dashboard turns orders into monthly revenue charts and a daily list of trending items, so staff can see what is popular without exporting anything.
What the client said
We wanted a digital presence that reflected our business and made information easier for customers to find. NinjaNext Technologies helped us work toward that goal with a focus on design, usability, and the overall user experience. The team listened to our requirements and approached the project with a practical mindset.
