Careers

Build products people actually use

We are a small engineering studio in Lahore that designs, builds and ships software for clients in the UK, the USA, Germany, Italy, the UAE and Pakistan, and publishes our own apps and games on Google Play. If you want your work in front of real users rather than parked in a backlog, this is that kind of team.

Why here

A small team with real ownership

We are not a body shop and we do not staff people out. Everyone here works on a product they can name, with the people who decide what it should do.

  • Your code ships

We release working software to clients and app stores, not internal demos. What you build this month is something you can point at.

  • No layers between you and the problem

Engineers talk to the people the product is for. You hear the requirement first-hand instead of receiving it third-hand as a ticket.

  • Whole problems, not slices

Most people here touch the API, the app and the release. You are trusted with a feature end to end, with review and support around you.

  • Remote-friendly, with real overlap

We work remotely and agree hours that overlap with the team and the client. Meetings are few and have a purpose.

  • Quality is part of the job, not a phase

Automated tests, code review and release checks are how we work. You are never asked to ship something you would not sign your name to.

  • Room to go deep

AI tooling, automation, games, payments: we build across all of it, and we back people who want to own an area properly.

Working here

The habits we keep

These are the same commitments we make to clients. They apply inside the team too.

  • Weekly demos of real software, not status reports
  • Written decisions, so nobody depends on being in the room
  • Code review on every change, with the reasoning explained
  • Direct access to the person who owns the product
  • Scope changes discussed openly before work starts
  • Documentation written as the work lands, not afterwards

Open roles

Current openings

No open roles right now

We are not actively hiring at the moment. When that changes, the roles appear on this page first, before anywhere else.

If you are strong at what you do, write to us anyway. We keep good applications on file and go back to them first when a project or a product needs another pair of hands. A short, specific message about what you build beats a generic CV every time.

Applying speculatively

Tell us what you would want to own here, and show us something you have built.

  • What you work on and what you want to work on next
  • A link to code, a shipped app or something you have written
  • Where you are based and the hours you can overlap with Lahore
  • Your CV as a PDF

We read everything that arrives. If there is nothing suitable, we will say so rather than leave you waiting.

Write to jobs@ninjanexttech.com.

How we hire

Four steps, no unpaid project work

We try to respect your time. There is no multi-day take-home assignment, and we tell you where you stand after each step.

  1. You apply

Send your CV and anything that shows how you think: a repository, a shipped app, a write-up. A short note about what you want to work on helps more than a cover letter.

  2. Intro call

About 30 minutes. What you have built, what you want next, how we work and what the role actually involves. Questions both ways.

  3. Technical conversation

We walk through your own past work and discuss a realistic problem out loud. No whiteboard algorithms, no trick questions. Around an hour.

  4. Offer and start

If it fits, we make an offer with the scope, compensation and start date in writing. You get an answer either way.

Questions

Before you apply

Do you hire remotely, or only in Lahore?

Both. The studio is based in Lahore and we work remotely, so what matters is a working-hours overlap with the team and the client rather than a desk in a particular city.

Do you take interns or junior engineers?

When there is someone senior free to mentor properly, yes. We would rather take one junior and give them real review time than take several and leave them guessing. Openings of that kind are listed on this page like any other.

What stack should I know?

We build in whatever a project calls for: React Native and Expo, Next.js, Kotlin and Spring Boot, and plenty of integration work. We care much more that you can learn a codebase and reason about it than that you already know our exact tools.

Is there a take-home assignment?

No unpaid project work. We talk through something you have already built, and discuss a realistic problem together. If a role genuinely needs a practical exercise, it is short and we pay for your time.

How long does the process take?

Usually two to three weeks from application to decision, depending on scheduling. We tell you where you stand after each step rather than going quiet.

Can I apply again later?

Yes. A no now is about the fit for one role at one moment. People we liked are the first we contact when something opens up.

Let's build it

Think you would fit here?

Send us your CV and something you have built. We read every application, and we reply.
